Fasten your seat belts! Side 2 of "Tetsuo Offensive" is another intergalactic ride through many galaxies of the house universe all in one set. A word of caution though, this mix may be inappropriate for the workplace. You may very well get fired if you leap up onto your desk and start jackin' in your cubicle. This is side 1 of the extremely popular "Tetsuo Offensive" (aka the black tape) released in 1999. The mix sold out at the world famous Gramophone records twice and Chicago heads still inquire about it to this day. This mix was done the summer of '04. The title "Sunbathers vs Stargazers" depicts the flow of the mix. It begins with sunny Chicago style disco house and midway through the "journey into sound" the music becomes darker as disco gives way to tech house. Which one are you? A sunbather or a stargazer? This live set was recorded live @ "Grizzled" 11.03.07 it was Chicago vs Austrailia as Acidman and Ricardo Rae headlined this event. Hailing from Chicago he grew up listening to the best, spinning with the best, and now many regard him as one of the best. The word legend has been used with frequency however, Acidman believes that label should be reserved for the retired and the dead. He's played the legendary clubs past and present. In 1998 he co-created and served as the resident DJ for SHADEFREE PRDS. which instantly became one of Chicago largest rave production crews. It was this residency that catapulted Acidman from a popular local DJ to a "household name" among party goers in the Midwest and beyond. That popularity landed him top billing alongside some of the biggest names in the business Paul Johnson, Roy Davis Jr., Green Velvet, Colette and the list goes on (for those of you who care about such things.) His style? Chicago House plain and simple. Before clicking the "play" button make sure to put a helmet and fasten your safety belt because each set will take you through a wide spectrum of house flavors (classic, tech, disco, and of course acid) at a high level of intensity! All spun exclusively on two Technics 1200's the way God intended. No CD's, no Serato just pure sweet vinyl from mother natures pressing plants. By day Acidman disguises himself as a mere mortal in his alter ego "Al Brown" a humble operations manager for the family business BUT each evening as the sun sets in the west Al Brown reverts back into his true identity as ACIDMAN the super hero of house!!! Currently, Acidman is working in an underground laboratory with his best friend and production partner Tyrel Williams preparing trax for the creator of Acid House the undeniable living legend (yes legend) ADONIS preparing a doomsday assault of epic proportions!
